The
Meditech CardioTens is
an innovative ambulatory diagnostic tool that
highlights the relationship between coronary
heart disease and hypertension and provides a
detailed analysis of various parameters of
cardiovascular risk.
It will record
24-hour blood pressure, ST-segment and heart
rate profiles, as well as two-channel ECG strips according to a preset program sequence with a
maximum 4 hour memory.
The unit performs
continuous real-time beat-to-beat ECG analysis
and features automatic event detection with
adjustable preset limits. This ensures that extra
ECG strips and corresponding blood pressure
values are recorded during (silent) ischemic
events, high or low heart rates and syncopal
episodes are also stored.
Patients can
mark and record additional, symptomatic events.
CardioTens also performs full heart rate
variability analysis. It uses the BHS and AAMI
validated proprietary Meditech ABPM algorithm,
as well as the Meditech ECG processing
algorithms successfully tested on the MIT-BIH
arrhythmia database (99.8 % beat detection
accuracy).
CardioTens is
supplied
with a large adult cuff (32 - 42cm),
adult cuff (24 - 32cm), five lead ECG cable,
disposable electrodes (1 x 20), two sets of high
capacity rechargeable batteries, battery
charger, fibre optic PC cable, various
accessories, (to include carry pouch, shoulder
strap and waist belt), CardioVisions software
(options depend on version purchased), user
instructions, sturdy carry case, telephone
technical support and a two-year warranty.
The
CardioTens CT1-SO11 is supplied with
Cardiovisions software which includes an
HRV licence, ECG annotation with
interactive editing. ECG complexes are
classified into different classes
including normal, ventricular,
supraventricular, pacemaker and
unclassified and allow the user to edit
and reclassify them. The percentage of
normal beats, artefact or ventricular
beats is also displayed by the software
for easy recognition.
A spike chart
showing events is also available.
