InstantCheckis a handheld ECG monitor that records and
displays a real-time electrocardiogram (ECG).
ECG can be recorded
by placing the thumbs on InstantCheck’s
specially designed dry contact built in
electrodes or by using the external electrode
cable and adhesive ECG electrode pads also
supplied. Unlike other devices there
is no need to place the InstantCheck directly on
the chest a major advantage.

InstantCheck records
100 thirty seconds strips of modified lead one
ECG for each measurement. After measurement, the
device will instantly display the average of 3
parameters on the LCD panel: the average heart
rate (HR), ST segment and QRS intervals.
Instant Check is
especially useful for the opportunistic
screening of atrial fibrillation (AF) in Primary
Care and a recent study suggest that
opportunistic screening for atrial fibrillation
(AF) in routine appointments could vastly
improve its detection in general practice BMJ (2
August 2007
335-383)
AF affects approximately 5 per cent of people
over the age of 65 years. The risk of serious
outcomes, such as stroke, can be reduced by
treatment, so the diagnosis of AF is important
in primary care.

how easy it is to use.
InstantCheck can
transfer all the recorded measurements to a
computer through a USB cable and software
(supplied) for management and analysis of ECG
data.
Key Features:-
Displays
heart rate, date and time of ECG recording
as well as ECG.
Special
baseline and filters improve quality of ECG
recording.
Record,
review and record again. InstantCheck has
100 memories , so you can review up to 100
thirty second ECG rhythm strips.
Minimal
running costs and discomfort to patient as
no disposable electrodes required.
Real time on
screen monitoring feature allows patient to
practice using
Reports may
be edited in Word and attached to patient
records or emailed.
InstantCheck is suitable for use by
patients at home who may have
intermittent arrhythmias that do not
present in surgery after a 12 lead ECG,
for opportunistic screening of AF and
for long term cardiac evaluation to
monitor the effectiveness of
anti-arrhythmic drugs. They can be
loaned an InstantCheck and can record
their ECG when symptoms occur or to
measure at regular intervals to assess
circadian influences.
The
InstantCheck can also be used as a
non-invasive device if patients refuse
to have an implantable event recorder.
Important
Information InstantCheck is a
screening device only and is not designed or
intended to replace a medical diagnosis from a
qualified medical professional. The measurement
results are for monitoring purposes only and
should not be used as a basis for starting or
modifying medical treatment without independent
medical advice. The InstantCheck is not designed
or intended to be used in acute or critical
situations.
This device
should not be used with a cardiac pacemaker or
defibrillator.
