Millar Instruments manufactures and markets a
line of combination Pressure-Volume (P-V)
catheters.
These catheters combine pressure sensors and
electrodes for simultaneous high fidelity
pressure and volume measurements, enabling
minimally invasive, continuous, intra cardiac
pressure-volume analysis. Clinical P-V models
feature a high torque catheter body and range in
size from 3 to 7 French in single-field or
dual-field configurations, with closed-end
pigtails.
 Model
configurations include the availability of a
second pressure sensor, and as many as 12
electrodes. Electrode spacing varies to
accommodate a range of applications. These
catheters are warranted for five uses or sixty
days, whichever occurs first.
Ultra miniature pressure volume catheters for
research use range in size from just 1 French
(0.33mm) to 2 French. These ultra-miniature
catheters are capable of measuring both left
ventricular pressure and volume simultaneously.
