A&D UA-767 PC With Memory Digital Blood Pressure Monitor.
The UA-767PC is an enhanced
version of the UA-767. The UA-767 has been
independently clinically tested and validated.
NICE 2011 guidelines state
that if a person is unable to tolerate ABPM then
home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) is a
suitable alternative to confirm the diagnosis of
hypertension.
The
UA-767PC is the ideal cost effective product for
Hospitals or GP Practices in these
circumstances.
When using HBPM NICE
recommend that two consecutive measurements are
taken, at least 1 minute apart and that the
person is seated. Blood pressure should be
recorded twice daily, ideally in the morning and
evening.
Blood pressure recording
should continue for at least 4 days and ideally
for 7 days. The measurements taken on the first
day should be discarded and the average value of
all the remaining measurements should be used to
confirm a diagnosis of hypertension.
The free
Doctor Pro 3 Lite
software
available from PMS (Instruments)
produces the key information required by
NICE and makes the implementation of NICE
straightforward.
The UA-767PC can also be used with Dr
Pro II by customers who may already have a TM-2430
ambulatory blood pressure monitor
and there is no need to purchase an
additional cable in this instance.
Dr Pro III Lite
will display systolic, diastolic
pulse and time of reading in a tabular
format and also give a trend graph. It
will also allow you to edit readings and
remove (suppress) them from analysis as
NICE recommends. The
correlation, histogram, circadian
rhythm, HBI and average trend functions
are non functioning in Dr Pro III Lite.
Dr Pro III Lite will
display highest and lowest readings,
mean readings and the date and time of
each reading.
A USB cable must be
purchased for connection to a PC unless
customers have a TM-2430 ABPM.

Sample report is below.
A leading medical journal,
"Blood Pressure Monitoring," published
by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins has published
an article written by Drs. Anatoly N. Rogoza,
Tatjana S. Pavlova and Marina V. Sergeeva in the
August 2000 issue, Vol 5, No. 4.
The article, "Validation of
A&D UA-767 Device For The Self-Measurement Of
Blood Pressure," evaluated the UA-767 in
accordance with the AAMI criteria and the
modified 1993 British Hypertension Society
protocol.
The study
concludes that, "For an adult population, the
A&D UA-767 device for the self-measurement of
blood pressure satisfied the AAMI criteria,
achieved a BHS grade of A/A and can therefore be
recommended for monitoring blood pressure in
home and clinical conditions by patients with
mild-to-moderate arterial hypertension."
