Cardionics SAM II Auscultation Manikin

With SAM II the Student Auscultation Manikin®, sounds are accessed by computer with as many as six sounds playing on SAM simultaneously allowing heart and lung sounds to be heard by simply moving the stethoscope as you would a normal patient.

When playing sounds, the phonocardiogram of each sound appears on the computer screen and can be projected for class viewing. Viewing the sounds enhances the learning experience.

SAM II makes it easy to compare sounds. You can even compare a heart sound with a lung sounds such as pericardial rub versus pleural rub.

Listen to SAM with your own stethoscope. No special stethoscope is required with SAM. Students use their own stethoscopes. SAM consists of a male manikin, laptop computer with installed software for running SAM, an E-Scope Wireless Electronic Stethoscope with Wireless Headphones for second listener, a Program or Lesson Guide and an Operator’s Manual.

Cardiac Auscultation Self Teaching System (STS)

The SimulScope is a device for teaching auscultation at the bedside or in the classroom. It is wireless so that students are not tied to the instructor when in the patient’s room.

Cardionics Learning Arrhythmia Recognition

This CD contains 30 arrhythmias. Each arrhythmia can be played as a moving strip.

The demonstration mode shows the arrhythmia moving on a standard ECG grid with the explanation of the arrhythmia shown below the strip. This provides basic instruction about the characteristics of each arrhythmia. The pacemaker site, rhythm, rate, P waves, P-R interval, QRS complex, clinical significance and treatment are all described.
