The cuff is inflated manually and deflation is controlled by the user using a quality adjustable thumb wheel. The large vertical LCD display mimics a falling Mercury column is easy to read and graduated just like Mercury.

The bulb and cuff can be stored in a small compartment at the back of the UM-101B.
